About The Founder

Shondolyn Young Richardson

My credentials include a Master’s Degree in Reading/Literacy, a Bachelor’s Degree in Elementary Education, Certified Reading Specialist, 20 years of teaching experience in an elementary school environment, and 5 years of experience as an Online Facilitator for Mississippi eLearning for Educators.  I also served on the Mississippi Common Core Pre-K Task Force in 2011 and the Mississippi Early Learning Guidelines Revision Task Force in 2012 and 2013.

My experience has allowed me to work side-by-side with parents, teachers, program directors, principals, and other leaders of educational initiatives.  As an online facilitator, I assisted educators from all over Mississippi with earning CEU credit while improving the quality of their classroom instruction through research-based courses and collaboration.  As a Pre-K task force member, online course reviewer, and Parent Coordinator I have had the privilege of individually and collaboratively identifying and providing solutions for key challenges and concerns that impact students, parents, educators, and/or classroom instruction in general.

I also feel very comfortable with leading professional development and analyzing data.  In the summer of 2012, I was a presenter for MS Pre-K Early Learning Standards Training in Oxford, MS and Jackson, MS.  Recently, I served as the Assessment Coordinator of NWEA MAP Assessment Implementation, provided NWEA MAP Assessment Training, led NWEA MAP Assessment Data Meetings and provided support for the system.
